ADT software
Software created to automate the dean’s office’s work
Under the Act of 20 July 2018, all universities are obliged to send their currently finished diploma theses and the archival copies of the diploma theses to the Archive of Diploma Theses (ADT). The state unit provides necessary anti-plagiarism verification tools offered back in the day by commercial entities. The new act resulted in universities being compelled to deliver even a few dozens of thousands of files in a short amount of time. Our client requested us to help automate this activity.
The instruction of sending the thesis to the ADT is a lengthy document defining many form fields that need to be filled accordingly. It causes the time required to manually send one file to take from 7 to 12 minutes. The employees of the dean’s office performing such a tedious task confronted with the archival copies of the diploma theses could make a lot of mistakes, not to mention how obviously time-consuming it would be. We’ve created a fully automated application that fills in all the required form fields and then forwards files with the necessary data for the ADT with technologies such as Selenium software, Django framework, and Celery periodic tasks.
Our TG Coders team fully automated the arduous process of sending the archival copies of the theses, even dating back to the date of establishment of the university, which was estimated to take 11 months. Our application attached to the database fills all the requested form fields, then forwards the file with no involvement of the third party. It decreased the time needed to complete the task to 3 weeks while simultaneously guaranteeing the full automation of the process for the years to come.
